After posting an unfavorable review of a sick dog that was sold to me by a breeder on puppyfind.com they allowed the breeder to erase my review. When I emailed to find out where my bad review went, I received this as their reply:
"Due to the abuse of the review system (such as breeders bashing other breeders, people using the system as a message board and other such fake reviews being posted) we have no other choice but to allow sellers to delete invalid reviews. It is possible that a seller may delete a review that could be considered valid, but we allow up to 3 times for this to happen. However, reviews are stored by Puppyfind when a seller chooses to delete them even though they are unable to be seen on the site. We use these as a means of evaluating the ability of a seller to remain on the site."
They also only let you review a breeder once. Before my review was erased I noticed that two of her "not so great" reviews were gone. So I went back and re-registered using a different email address and posted my review again and again.
Only to have it removed twice more before the breeder was finally removed from their site. I just didn't want someone else buying a sick puppy like mine because my puppy has a communicable disease.
So I just want to let others know that when you see a breeder with five stars on their site, that may not be the case. They have just let the breeders erase all their complaints without verifying the complaint first. Because I could have emailed them the proof of my complaint before it was erased the first time.
