Macy's credit card billing is not explained and will ruin your credit. Do not apply

I applied for a Macy's credit card. I received one Macy's Visa card and their representative who sold me on getting the card never explained that there would be two bills coming for the one card. The bills when sent looked identical except on closer inspection there were two different account numbers that were very similar. One apparently was for any Macy's purchases and the other was for any purchases made outside of a Macy's store. I was paying way over on the one bill but did not know the other existed as it was never explained to me that there would be two bills.

Instead of calling and inquiring as to why the second bill was past due they just turned it into the credit bureau when I went 30 days past due. They never even gave me a chance to make things right before reporting. I advise anyone out there to avoid getting their credit card. They are not acting in the best interest of their customers. They do not care about your credit rating.

I used to shop at Macy's before shopping at any other department store. I will never shop there again due to their harsh treatment over a simple misunderstanding and I will tell everyone I can to avoid them.
