I see that others have been victimized by this shady company too. Luckily I didn't sign up as a paying member, or I'd really be screwed! As it was, the moment I made my profile visible, the trouble began.
You're supposed to basically be able to do everything as a free member that you can do as a "premium" member. So every time I tried to conduct a search, my screen would freeze up, and I couldn't get past the first page of matches. The second thing, is that (like another person who posted a complaint about the site), I started getting "re: wink" messages. Lots of them. I never sent even one out, let alone the amount that the replies suggested. I responded to a few of these, telling people that a mistake had been made. That I'd never sent them a wink. They probably thought I was messing with them. One guy insisted that I'd sent him one.
I sent the ole "contact us via e-mail" about the technical problems. That didn't work, of course, so I finally called them. They denied any wrongdoing or problems from their end. Saying that no, it didn't look like I'd actually sent any winks out, but they weren't to blame either (suggesting that all those respondents were so desperate the talk to me, and were just playing a bizarre game). Whatever. I didn't buy that. And after about the billionth time I couldn't do a search past page one, I cancelled. You know, plus you've got their ridiculous "guarantees" that no married people or felons can post on their site. And they let you put "unspecified" in the relationship status box. It's just a waste of time. They should call themselves False.com or Liarsrus.com
