I am writing about HornyMatches.com and my very suspect experiences with it.
I am a regular user of Internet dating sites (adult or otherwise) and a very attractive, fit and articulate male. I have so far had a roaring success with other very well known dating/adult sites which I have been using over the past 4 years. So I know what it takes to write a good profile and get replies and even meet up real women for dating or sex.
All sites tend to have more women than men, so the return rate is generally quite skewed and nothing new there.
After playing on the horny matches site for a week I became very suspicious, so I Googled it and read this web site after joining HM. It appears that my experience is very similar to others who have commented previously. So I chose to do an experiment.
Before the experiment: when I joined as a standard member, the moment I uploaded a photo, I got a wink and hotlist request from someone but the time stamp was an hour previous - being a little suspicious, I checked their profile only to find them in the next town and offline. I got several other winks from people offline and a few unsolicited messages/e-mails - that were pretty standard like "Oh yeah! I read your profile and like what I see, let's get to know each other!". Upgrading my membership and responding made no progress to a second e-mail on any of them.
So, more and more winks came and no replies to witty, articulate and personalised e-mails/messages (even if I may say so myself!!!).in total I have sent over 60 e-mails and 100 winks. Expecting at least one reply is not unreasonable given my previous net dating experiences.
The experiment: Over a period of two weeks, I monitored the site. There are users who are CONSTANTLY logged on no matter what time of day and night you log on and search. I have insomnia so I checked the site every 4 hours or so. I cannot think it being possible for 30 or so people to be constantly awake and on the site. Furthermore, winking/writing to these produced no result.
I then did a search and winked at as many offline members as possible and guess what? Clicking on the who's viewing me tab the moment after showed that some of them had checked out my profile, but how could they if they are offline!??!?
Furthermore, I started to monitor profiles of 15 people who had supposedly last been active "today" over a period of three hours before and after midnight only to find ALL of them had still visited "today".in the UK we are only one hour behind Belgium so no time zone issues there. Unless the day in Belgium is a lot longer than the rest of the world.
There are a number of standard members that state they cannot read messages (they can only wink) but if you send them your e-mail address they will respond! How would that be even possible if they can't read messages and especially when your profile is supposedly approved by a real person and references to e-mail addresses will be removed? Are they all very dumb or just a way of getting you to pay up and start messaging.
Then there are profiles which have very professional pornographic photos - being a photographer, I know when the light has been manipulated to either purposely give the impression of an amateur or to make someone look great.
My verdict is that there may well be some genuine people there but there are MANY MANY bots playing silly buggers to get you to part with your cash - needless to say I've just closed down my membership and put it down to experience. My advice - DON'T JOIN HORNYMATCHES.com FIND OTHER MORE REPUTABLE SITES!!!
