We hired Star of David Moving to move us from Pompano Beach, FL to Delray Beach FL. They did not pack the truck very well and in fact, ran out of space in their truck yet it was not tight. Then they had to stick stuff into my Volvo and when they tried to cram my 30 gallon aquarium, they broke it. The mover told me to put in a claim but when I spoke to the office, they wanted 3 estimates for an aquarium!!! I ran all over and when I finally submitted the estimates, they said they never received the estimates and that I had to include a form. When I did this, they sent me a check for $27.00 yet my estimates were for $80. They said it was "weight dependent". Why did I run all over the place then? And if I knew they were going to play this game, I wouldn't have given the mover a tip because the aquarium was more than his tip! I was going to sue them in small claims court but time went by until I found the check about 2 years later. I sent the check to them with a cover letter asking very nicely if they could send me a replacement check and I even enclosed a self-addressed, stamped envelope. I never heard from them again and that was nearly a year ago. Avoid these guys - they are unethical!!!
