On 9/5/06 I signed a contract with Todd James and Associates through their representitive Will Brown. I paid $600 for said services and have recieved none. I made an inquiry in December (Talked with Will Brown) as to the status and to determine where I was to send the latest credit report. I sent the paperwork to the address listed for Todd James. On March 1,07 I received a letter from Will Brown indicating that he was no longer with Todd James and Associates and in this letter he thanked me for being patient with all of the complaints, however, he was no longer with the company as of October of 07, (which does not hold true as I spoke with him in Dec of 06). I was given an address for Todd James and Associates 1700 Mt. Hood Ave. Woodburn Oregon 97071. I tried calling the office number and it had been disconnected.
I ultimately sent a certified letter to the address in Woodburn and received no response. I went to the address only to find out that it was a postal annex. To go back to the begining, this company and its representitive possed as an attorneys office misrepresenting themselves. I found this out by contacting the bar association (whom I have also made a report with). Through further investigation, I contacted the licensing bureau who provided a registry number of 242106-92 and a responsible party named Kit Hammett. Todd James (real or not) is said to be located in Belvue Washington. After finding out all of this information, I confronted Will Brown (the only person I had any dealing with) about this information and asked him some very easy questions that he could not answer. I ask if his old company was an attorney office, he said no (this is not the same answer I received when I first signed up). He stated that he was not an attorney, but that Todd James and Accociates were and that he was able to work under their licensing).
I asked him exactly what his company did and he responded saying that he did not know exactly what they did (very questionable). I asked him to divulge any information he had on Todd James and Associates and he said he only had the Woodburn address. The contract is signed by Will Brown and as he is the only person I have seen, been in contact with, I have no way of knowing exactly what roll he has played in all of this.in other words, I can not prove that Todd James, Kit Hammett even exist.in contacting the person that directed me to Todd James and Associates, we have found and determined that there is a score of other individuals that have been dooped out of their money. Will Brown has start a new company stating that he has over twenty (20) year experience in credit restoration. This is odd as he informed me that a few years back he had a troubling credit report and that he learned how to restore his credit and from doing so, he approched Todd James and Associates to see if they would be interested in his services.
