I April OI used H&RBlock to file my income tax extention online. They sent me an e-mail and I thought that I would try them out. After all they advertise alot and say that they guarantee their services. I filled out the hour long information sheet and my American Express number to pay for the extention service and pushed submit.
I received a confirmation that the application was sent to the IRS. When my CPA later filed my income tax. I had an $800.00 penalty. My CPA told me that if I would write to the IRS that they might return my monies. I did and they said that they would give the penalty monies back (if I had filed an extention).
I wrote them back and informed them that I did file an extention. I got online and found my application and even the charged American Express slip where H&R Block charged me. I have been around and around with H&R Block. No one there will take responsibility for the application not going to the IRS. They passed me from representative to supervisor and then just would not talk to me anymore. They sure charged me though! The service was not rendered.in fact they caused me to have to pay $800.00 more than I would have had to pay. RIP Off Company. I turned them into the Texas Attorney General's Office
