On April 17th, I ordered a course online called MLM Traffic Formula (MLMTrafficFormula.com) that's being marketed by Mike Dillard and his company Live Five Star Marketing, LTD.
The course offers two options for payment, but offers an "unconditionla, no-questions-asked, 30 day money-back guarantee".
I ordered the "2-payment plan" option, in which they would charge $267 on the day I ordered and $267 30 days later.
So I paid for it on April 17th, they shipped it on April 18th and it arrived on my door on April 20th.
I read through most of the course as well as listened to most of the CD's only to discover that many of the techniques can not be implemented by a newbie. I would have to pay many hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars to hire outside programmer to create my sites according to their guidelines and specifications.
So after keeping the course around 25 days (remember, I recieved it on the 20th) I returned it on the 16th of May.
Also, please keep in mind that their website specifically says, "P.S. I want to personally promise you that MLM Traffic Formula will completely surpass all of your expectations. If it doesn't, just send it back to my office within 30 days, for a no-questions-asked refund. You have nothing to risk, and very little time left to take advantage of this amazing opportunity."
Notice that it says to "send it back to my office within 30 days", it DOES NOT say that it needs to be back in the office within 30 days. See the difference.
I did just as the sales page said. I sent it back before the 30 days were up.
So I contacted them regarding their guarantee and asked to not charge my card that second charge and to refund the first one.
The next day, on May 17, they charged my card $267 again.
After several emails, they finally emailed me today (May 22) and told me the following:

As you can imagine, I'm really pissed right now. I didn't keep the course for 30 days and yet they have the nerve to tell me that I kept it ONE DAY LONGER than the "30 day" trial offered.
This is a matter of ethics and one that should be addressed.
I want Mike to refund me and keep his word. Giving a "30 day trial" and starting that trial the moment the customer pays instead of the moment the customer receives it is not really giving "30 days"... Is it?
And as I showed you before, their sales letter says to simply "send it back" within the 30 days. And I did just as they asked. I physically dropped it at the Post Office and "Sent it back" 29 days after I placed the order.
If their sales letter said, "make sure it's back in my office within 30 days", then it would have been different. But that's not the case.
Please understand that I hate to bad-mouth Mike. I have the highest respect for him and thought of him as a person with high ethical and moral values. Now, I'm not too sure, but I'm still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
So please, if anyone can help me with this, please help me.
