I paid my debt through SCMG from 2004 to Aug. Payments were made monthly per our agreement.
I have documentation of 3 payments that were sent to SCMG between July and August. I have statements from SCMG showing they received the money. My creditors did not receive these payments. SCMG has taken the $2580.00 I sent them and kept it. They also have a deposit of $860.00. This makes $3440.00 of my money they have kept. I filed a report with the BBB in Nov and the Governor's office of consumer affairs in Dec. I have not received any further info. One of my creditors refuses to renegotiate with the new credit counseling agency that assumed (I had no choice) my account in Sept therefore the account is going to collections, constant phone calls and bad credit reports. I have to believe that this is consumer fraud that many others have experienced. This non-profit certainly made a profit off of me!
