We were approached many times by phone by Penny Eddy to sell 3 timeshares in South Africa. We were promised that several companies were eager to buy as a tax write off at a very good price. We checked on their web site which looked legitimate and requested a signed contract to say that if the properties were not sold within 6 months our deposit of $3000 would be returned. This was supplied to us so we decided to go ahead.
Since then there has been a deafening silence. After 6 months we requested (through our lawyer) the return of the deposit but this came to nothing as their letter was returned as "no longer at this address". Our lawyer said we would have to spend more than we had lost to follow up through lawyers in Nevada so he advised we not proceed any further.
