My company had a sales rep visit us who convinced us that we should have an examination of our company done to find out if we could make improvements and were not making as much possible as we could be making. We agreed to do this. Boy, then the second sales man that came in was a high pressured guy who was arrogant and beat us up severely for what we were not doing right. After he got done with us he convinced us that his company could help us improved our business enough to make it worth spending $30,000. But he told us we would not have to pay if we did not like what they had done. So with this offer that was no rish, we agreed to have the next guys come in and help us.
When they arrived there was a guy named Dan Held and his female employee. She was overly aggressive with us, and he promised us the earth, stars and the world. H said the right things including that we would not have to worry about how to pay for them, because his company would work that out. So we once again bought into a sales pitch. This guy (held) was the worse of all, he taook us into his confidence and then he left a couple days later.
Well as the work began, it completely took all of our time rather than not disturbing our normal business flow as Held had told us. We ended up losing business because we could not be available to our customers as much. Also when it came time to pay our invoice, as we had told all of the employees but particularly Dan Held, we did not have enough money to pay their very expensive invoice.
They told us they could take post dated checks, so we gave them a couple of check and were told not to worry that Gulf Pacific would not cash these checks until we had called into their office to tell them to do so, since our cash flow was so tenuous. Well Held lied to us again. Their owner, Arthur Vanlandingham deposited our checks anyway, and we have other checks bounce because of his action.
We can only tell you that this company ended up costing us lots of money, did very little good other than very basic documents that could have been gotten off the internet for no cost to us, and when we tried to resolve the issue ran into a blank wall. These people way over promise, under deliver, and then leave you out hanging in the wind.
We are afraid to idntify ourselves because we have heard of the tactics used by firms like this when you identify who you are, but believe us, this was a totally terrible experience and we can only warn other businesses to stay clear of these crooks.
