I bought my HD TV from HH Greeg on Feb 18 what a mistake it was to go there. First off they didn't have the TV I really wanted, but they did have this 55" mitsubishi that was a couple hundred dollars more. I looked around and decided to go with it.
Then as I was checking out the A-h* of a manager @ the HH greeg in Dublin, Ohio basically got into an argument with me about why I needed the Extended Warranty Service Plan. For the most part I wasn't allowed to leave until I bought the $300.00 plan, so I did thinking maybe it would be a good idea to have it covered.
Well less than a year later the sound goes out, just stops working. HH Greeg contacts their service provider (Electrasound) this is the worst company they have absolutely no clue whatsoever about anything! They come out make the diagnosis and come abck to install the part it distorts my TV, but the sound works. So they put back in the old part and order a new one. Then once the new one is installed my picture is still distorted but not as much, and the technician tries to adjust the grid with no luck.
Well it's like 2 months later now and the TV is still not fixed. Although, they do come back out with an overlay grid for a 50" TV (five inches to small), he tries again to get the TV back to where it was when I bought it. Of course he can't do it wiht the grid he has and the only option now is for them to take my TV into there shop and fix it there because thats where they work magic.
Well there were a number of calls placed during these times to both ElectraSound and GE Extended Warranty Service people who take care of HH Greeg's contracts and no one could get a service call set up for me. Finally in July 06 they come to get my TV this all started in FEB 06. I'm without my TV for three weeks almost a month, thinking that if they have it this long it should probably be like new when I get it back. Well they might have tried but the picture was still not the way it was when I bought it. The picture is too big for the screen, when there are banners at the top and bottom of the screens they get cut off.
Now its September 25th Another company was supposed to try and come fix it, but once they found out ElectraSound had been there they refused to come out. I had to make another 1/2 hour phone call to find that out, no one called and told me about it. The path now is that ElectraSound is going to come out again and try to do the same thing.
Please if you read this take my word do not ever buy anything from HH Greeg, and don't ever call electrasound to come and fix your TV. I know this is a long story but I left out many phone calls and interactions that I had with all these companies, to try and shorten it up. Trust me hh greeg is awful, electrasound sucks, and don't ever but an extended warranty when someone forces you too.
