I thought i would give TRUE.com a try since they kept sending me email's. True.com is a dating site on the internet. After enrolling as a member for my free 7 day trial period i browsed the sight for about 30 minutes when i decided that this wasnt what i wanted. Fair enough right? I tried to delete the account online and found that i couldnt. The only way to cancel my membership was to call True.com by Phone (#1-866-583-8783). I called to cancel after 30 minutes of being signed up for a free 7 day trial. A man answered the phone as a True.com customer help representitive. I told this man that True.com wasnt for me and i would like to cancel now because i would not remember to do so in a weeks time. He kept on persisting that i atleast finish my free week to see if i might change my mind. I told him that i havent a need to go to the site again and would forget about it in a week if i didnt cancel right now. He still wouldnt listen and kept on persisting that i keep my free week and use it then call in a week if i dont like it. I told him again, "I will not use this sight, it is not what i was looking for and i want to be deleted of your records." I made it so clear that i wanted to be deleted from there system and told this man that i had better not get charged. A few weeks later i am checking my bank account online when i find a $50.00 charge from True.com. This made me very frustrated. I call True.com customer service rep. Funny thing is it sounds like the same guy that i canceled with a month back.in my first 30 minutes of true.com i called and canceled. Know i am calling to find out why i was charged and still to this point i have only used True.com for the 30 minutes of my free trial. I was told that i never called and canceled! I know thats not true, but what can i do??? They refused to refund my money and were calling me a liar. This really sucked! I am still mad and feal helpless as to getting refunded. I clearly was taken advantage of by True.com and they refused do delete my account in the first 30 mins. Of free trial. Then charge me $50.00 that i will never see again. For a service that i made clear i was not interested in.
