Bought a spa from a "reputable and reliable" online spa manufacturer. Turns out the manufacturer is not the manufacturer at all, just a down-home rip-off company. Ordered spa in December. They asked me to sign the financial contracts immediately and write in that I hadn't received spa yet.
I did what they asked. Made the first payment in January, and still no spa. Called several times in February, still no spa. Received spa in late March. The spa was dropped about 3 feet off of the truck. Driver and helper got paid and took off. Had to unwrap the spa myself and found lots of cabinet damage and an entire side panel was missing the screws, so the side panel was off. Electrician wouldn't wire the spa because he said there was water damage to the electrical box due to the gaps in the cabinet. Called Absolute Tan and Sun Enterprises. They were "right on it".
Called through March and April, called GE Money Bank to let them know we would not pay until the spa was repaired or replaced. We are into May and still, no one at Absolute Tan or Sun Enterprises has contacted GE money Bank or me to do anything about the spa. Parts were delivered in early April, but still no tech to fix it. My seven year old daughter is capable of moving the spa by herself because the bottom is broken making it easy to push the spa around the patio.
No one will take accountability for the condition of the spa and now they say they can't take the spa in return because it was built custom for me. The spa is a piece of crap, the parts are obviously used (the marine radio appears to have salt water damage) and the cabinet was thrown together with what looks like second hand casing and rusty, used screws.
I have never seen anything so poorly made in my life. Absolute Tan says Sun Enterprises is responsible for the spa and its condition and Sun Enterprisesx says Absoloute Tan is responsible and GE Money Bank could care less. They just want their money. To her credit, by all appearances, Caroline at Absolute Tan does seem concerend, but she has already been paid by GE Money Bank, so I guess her concern is only as good as the dollar bills she received to the crappy spa she sent to me.
I strongly recommend that you find another source if you're considering purchasing a spa, pool or tanning bed or supplies for any of them. Absolute Tan is an absolute rip-off and Sun Enterprises service isn't worth a roll of toilet paper!
Do not use either of these companies!
