Bloke turned up at my front door one evening and immediately stated that he was not working for a charity or pressure group (translation in my brain - not after money: silly me!). He then proceeded to tell me that Go Doers helped people find jobs by proving their personnel skills.
The basis would be that he would try and interest me in some magazine publications. Depending on which were picked he would get more or less points which would add to his final "score" in the program.
However, after the final pick, I am then presented with a bill for $200 - as of course, the con is that you are actually signing up for magazine subscriptions. This guy was persistant but finally did accpet a much lower value for magazine that I thought I might actually want. Of course, this publication never turned up and from the other reports I've seen on this site for Go Doers I shouldn't be suprised if it never does.
The reason I write this is not the money (which is irksome) but rather that recently a friend had Go Doers at her office and that person became very aggressive & exceptionally insulting when turned down. That goes over the line of Caveat Emptor as far as I'm concerned and is unacceptable behaviour. I hope anyone who reads this before being approached is forewarned of Go Doers methods.
