In January I signed a contract with Locater's Plus Search Firm, NJ, to find my birth family. For this service, I paid $375 and sent the signed forms back to Christine Dillon and Perry Faraldi. It is now September and after hearing NOTHING about my search, I attempted to contact them. Numbers were disconnected, and the same message has been on the website for months. I've sent several emails, only to receive this completely unprofessional email:
Dear Susan,
We are gratefully sorry that you have suffered any heartship or stress in this matter.
The company has gone thru some difficulties and is backed up. But we are still continuing to solve all our clients searches. Please be advised that we are here doing everything possible to complete your search.
We thank you for your passions in this matter.
How do we go about getting our money back, and is that even possible? I don't believe my search was ever begun.
