Lost my item rude & unwilling to re-ship nextday air Saramonte, Passadena

On April 6th I brought pants that go to a jacket that I found in my local Mervyns. They were sold out of the jackets at the store and I was told that they would not be getting any more back in. I called the Mervyns corporate office and had them locate a jacket for me.

I spoke to a women who found the jacket that I was looking for in Sarramonte (which is about an hour & half from me) Theresa in that store said that they would not do a charge send on my Visa, that they only do it for customers that had Mervyns accounts and that she would be happy to open an account for me.

I informed her I do not wish to open an account and that I had a friend that had an account & I would ask her to charge it for me. I called back that same day around 11:00am I was told that the item was on Clarence and that I got an extra 20% off clearance items. I was excited, the sales girl said she would ship it the same day and I should have it in a couple of days.

Well, I called back on the 15th because still no jacket. I call back to the Sacramento store and I speak to Jill the manager, she told me that the Jacket had gone out on the 8th (not the 6th like I was originally told) and that she call Fed-Ex and I should have it in a couple of days. I called back on 20th and spoke to Clairessa another manager. She said the jacket went out on the 10th (which happens to be a Sunday) and that it should be arriving any day. Clairessa didn't strike me as being real concerned about giving out CORRECT information.

I waited & waited, finally I spoke to Irene in the corporate office, she located another jacket for me in Pasadena TX, Irene said that she would order it from there and send it to me. I asked Irene if she could have the jacket overnited, because at this point I have been waiting about 3 weeks Irene said that she would see what she could do. She didn't sound very confident and I didn't have a whole lot of faith in Mervyns by now. Of course she calls me late in the evening and leaves a message I have to call her the next day.

She claims that the Credit Card that I used to purchase the original jacket had declined. (But it went through the first time.) I told her that it was a mistake. I contacted my friend who said that she has not charged anything and that it has to be a mistake. Well just for good measure I had them refund back the original charge and then re-charge the jacket. Irene claims the charge still won't go through. (But remember they won't accept any other charge card except theirs, for a charge send) I asked again if I could use my Visa, this time I was told yes!

So here it is April 28, I still have pants, but no jacket to go with the sweat pants. So I tell Irene that because this was her stores fault I would like the new item to be shipped overnight. She told me no, that they have declined to do that. I then spoke to her manager & team lead ROSE. Rose, was abrupt and just rude.

Before I could even get out my story she told me that it is not the policy of Mervyns to send out items overnight regardless to who fault it is. She told me that were "doing me a favor" by sending me a new jacket, because they don't send items that are on clearance. I informed her that I thought that was weird because when I originally brought this item it was on clearance then and not one person mentioned that to me.

She also went as far as to tell me that the item I was purchasing was out of season & that is why I am having all of these problems. I informed her that I had purchased a "spring velour sweat suit" she said "well it's not spring its summer. Funny, I always considered April to be spring. But regardless, when I originally purchased this item on April 6th they were having a spring sale.

Rose didn't know what she was talking about & I think that Mervyns should be embarrassed to have her representing for them. I want my jacket sent to me overnight. That's all I want, nothing to big I just want an item that I paid for and have not received. To me this is a rip off & plain disregaurd for there customers, which without us they wouldn't be in business.
