I went to JK Harris to get help with back taxes. Was not eligible for a settlement, but their double-talk convinced me they could help me anyway. They sucked me into a $2100 package that would deal with my taxes and "repair" my credit report - which I told everybody from the rep Wayne Burgin to the operations manager Jeff Braswell that the "credit repair" was the least of my priorities.
I told them over and over I had been forced to file bankruptcy because of back taxes and I was only interested in getting my taxes resolved. They led me to believe they could help me when in reality they did nothing I couldn't have done myself - and technically had to - because they were not even authorized to talk to the IRS on my behalf without me being on the line with them in a 3-way conversation.
But they are going to send me credit reports which I can obtain on my own for free as of June 1st. These people are vultures and basically I feel that I paid them $2100 for a credit report that I don't even need. They are nothing but rip-off sales people paid on commission and will turn the words around any way they can to get your money for nothing! I would have rather given that $2100 to the IRS!
