I wanted to share my experience to warn others of this questionable company. I bought a small quantity of marketing pens that were supposed to be of good quality at a cost of $8.00 each. I purchased 50, for a total amount of $400 to be charged to my credit card on 2/18/05. I received my pens in good time, but when I received my credit card statement the following month, I discovered I was billed for 10 times the amount, for a total charge of $4,000. Needless to say, I was quite shocked!
I immediately called my credit card company to dispute the charge, and I then attempted to contact this company to correct what I hoped to be a simple mistake on their part. I could not reach an actual person, but I did reach an answering machine and I left a message. This was on March 28. I again called the following day and was able to reach a person by the name of Jessica, who did apologize for their mistake and assured me that they would issue me a credit after speaking to her boss, who was not there at the present time. I also informed her that I expected the company to credit me for the finance charges on the additional amount of approximately $21.00. I called my credit card company the following day to let them know I did speak to someone, and they were going to issue a credit, at which point my credit card company told me that another charge had been put on my card on the date I called (3/28/05) for the correct amount of $400, but still no credit issued for the incorrect amount.
I called the company again, and since they are located out of state, I have begun to incur long distance phone call expenses trying to sort this out. After about 5-6 calls, I spoke to Jessica again and was told that they only do credits on Friday, and my account would be credited on the next Friday (4/1/05). She stated that it might take 3-4 days for the credit to be posted to my credit card. It has now been 10 business days as of the date of this letter, and nothing has been done. I have called everyday to inquire of the status, and no one will return my calls. I have been polite, and have asked for the owner to return my call. Still, nothing...
In the meantime, my available credit on my credit card is tied up and everytime I try to reach this company, either the company mailbox is full, or I get lucky and reach Jessica, who always apologizes but NEVER returns my calls. This was definitely my first and last purchase with this company. My credit card company says I have to wait for 30 days and try to resolve this with the company, but it doesn't look very promising at this point and probably 20x phones calls later with no satisfaction for me. Any suggestions as to what action I should take next with this company?
