Former Employee of Jack's Aquarium and Pets
Beware to anyone who drops off animals to Jack's Aquarium and Pets.
If you have cats and dogs to drop off for adoption to this company, beware. If you are looking for your cat or dog to adopted, and it is less than "cutesy and freindly" after being in a car, think again. I was told, as were my other managers, to take adult cats and dogs to the dog pound and drop them off annonymously in the middle of the night to avoid paying for their upkeep.
The animals that would be left would be potential prey to predators and passers by. This included animals that were stressed from the ride they had to the shop. We were told to tell customers that we NEVER take animals to the dog pound if they don't sell. This is a bold - faced lie.
If you don't want to risk it, put an ad in the paper, and check the person who answers the ad by requesting to see the house thay go to, and see original copies of the utility bills for that residence.
