Stalkers! Do not let these people into your business! Read my horror story! If you see these people coming call the police and report a tresspasser! Let me tell you why. On 07/29 I began logging all phone calls and visits from the people at IPA. I realized then that we had a huge problem with these people. It all started approx. Six months prior to that date. We received a phone call at our company from someone asking to speak with the President or owner.
When I asked for the callers name and company, I was told that it was a personal business matter. When I pressed further for information before transferring the call and interrupting the president and owner of our company, I was told that this was IPA on the phone confirming an appointment they had with him. I verified with him that he in fact did not know who these people were, he had never spoken with anyone from that company, which meant that he had never scheduled an appointment.
I told the person on the phone that the owner had never scheduled an appointment with anyone from her company and that he was not interested in doing so, I then asked her to remove us from her contact list. Within a weeks time, a representative from that company showed up and claimed to have an appointment with our owner. This happened several more times in the next six months. It was on the 29th of July that I decided to keep track of how many times this happened. I have been hung up on, yelled at, threatened, called a liar, and been verbally assaulted for more than two years by these people.
07/29/03 Kent Rampton showed up claiming he had an appt. 11/03/03 Tom Hilker showed and claimed he had an appt. 1/19/04 Victor called to verify an appt. 03/24/04 Mrs. Carol Sombers claimed she was scheduling an appt. 11/10/04 Michael Roach (this man refused to leave, yelled at me, cursed at me, and I had to threaten to call the police before he finally left!) showed up and claimed he had an appt. 02/17/05 Someone called and spoke to one of the other owners. She told them what had happened to me, they did not care and kept insisting on speaking with the other owner, not realizing who she was. They were very rude to her. 03/07/05 One of our owners received a call from someone just today. When he expressed his irritation with how this company operates, he was hung up on. They just don't care.
I was reduced to tears by the visit from Michael Roach on 11/10/04. He came in insisting that he had an appointment with our owner which had been scheduled the day before. I told him that I found that extremely hard to believe considering his company's track record and the fact that our owner had been out of the office the day before. I pulled up my log and explained to him why I was not even going to bother letting our owner know that he was here. He did not believe me that his company had been coming in here and calling all the time claiming to have appointments.
He argued with me and called me a liar, and then told me that he did not come in here for "grins and giggles" so please go ask the owner if he received a call from IPA yesterday scheduling an appointment. At that point, I had decided to ask our owner if he could come up and throw this man out. Our owner came up, told the man that he did not speak with anyone the day before, as he was not even in the office! This man then pulled out a piece of paper from his notebook and started reading a supposed quote from the supposed conversation that our owner had had with the appointment schduler at his company the day before. Unbelievable.
Our owner then became outraged because this was really ridiculous that this man was reading a fake quote! He told this man that he did not appreciate the sneaky, under-handed way that his company did business, and how they lie and say anything to try to get to the president of a company. At that point, the owner asked to be taken off their perspective client list, that he was not interested in doing business with a bunch of liars and then he walked away.
At this point, anyone with an ounce of moral fiber, would have probably apologized and walked out, not this man! He then asked me for a call log! I thought to myself, there is no way in hell that I am going to prove to this man that someone from his company did not call here yesterday. After all of what just happened, I could not believe the nerve of this guy!
I looked at him and asked "why can't you just accept what we have been telling you"? He looked at me and said "you don't have to be a F&ing smarta—"! I said "you were being a smarta— when you asked me for call log"! He then told me that I was a "stupid f&ing b—ch and I was making my company look stupid! He was leaning over my desk, almost as if he were trying to intimidate me. I stood up, and pointed to the parking lot and yelled at him to get out or I was going to call the police. He then flipped me the bird and walked out!
I am at my wits end about how to deal with these people. They won't quit. My employer sent the president of IPA an e-mail telling him that the next time they send a representative out to our business, we were going to call the police. He got not response and they are still calling and coming in here! What do we do? Can one business get a restraining order against another business? Now I have read other consumer complaintss about this company, can't they be stopped?
