I will never go back to this 1stdibs.com website and will make sure to spread the word to be AVOID dealing with this company!
Buyers BEWARE!!! Don't buy from this site!
Make sure you use it to find out who are the sellers/company who still have the item you want and then go to that seller site directly. Don't let 1stdibs sucker you to buying from their site only to realize that the same item is being sold at the seller site at way lower price. I got suckered!
After making an offer to a particular bag, I immediately wrote customer service to cancel it as I saw the bag I made an offer to was being offered by the selling company at a much cheaper price. (I know this is my mistake, I should have checked the website first.) I quickly got a confirmation that they received my message and will make sure that a buyer relationship manager will contact me shortly.
However, I never got contacted by the buyer relationship manager, got my credit card has been charged after 5 days and now I received the bag I never wanted!
If this company has just taken quick and swift action to cancel the order immediately, I am sure the order could have been cancelled with the selling company. But that is NOT to their advantage so why would they do it! Screw customer service.
As a last ditch effort, I contacted them again asking customer service to rectify the matter by helping me return the item, they are telling me that I cannot return the item and I am stuck with this overpriced bag!
What doesn't make sense to me is how this company can icharge me $1,200 for a bag that is being offered at Labellov (the selling company noted in their website) at 685 euros ($890). Wow, amazing markup for not doing anything at all!
