I bought a Ipod Touch 4th generation on 10/7 from the Clackamas, Oregon Target store for my daughter. The Target electronics employee convinced me to purchase the 2 - year replacement protection plan and showed me the inside cover of the plan which said, "We will provide a one-time replacement for your covered product". The employee said that this would cover any replacement including the screen. I also bought an Otter box to protect the Ipod. The screen cracked in several places about a week ago, even with the Otter Box cover. I called the Target extended service number at 1-866-469-6356 to see if I could get it replaced and spoke to Kyle. He informed me that the screen is not covered at all, and that I would have to pay for repair or replacement myself. I am furious, and feel that I was tricked into buying this service plan by Target. Even Target's website: (www.target.com / p/target-2-year... Plan-covers...) on the guess reviews, shows in the past that they have replaced Ipod screens, or sent a Target gift card back to the customer. Example: Rebecca on Jan 18 wrote: " Purchased this plan for the ipod touch and am soooo glad we did. My daughter's screen shattered just days after we gave her the gift, and one phone call with Raquel resolved everything. She sent me a UPS label, we sent back the broken ipod, and when the gift card comes, we'll go pick out a replacement. Money very well spent." There are three more guest reviews showing that gift cards were sent back for broken screens. Not so for me. I trusted the Target employee to be honest, but now my daughter has a broken Ipod and I'm out 179.00, plus the cost of the replacement protection plan. I am ready to never shop at Target ever again!
