In May we completed a loan modification application through Citi Mortgage and made 2 good faith payments.in June, Citi Mortgage turned us over to Hunt & Henriques, attorneys at law, for collections.
Per Charlotte at Citi Litigation, on 7/24, she sent a request for reassignment of the loan back to Citi from Hunt & Henriques.
We then started calling Hunt & Henriques for updates and to see if the loan servicing had been sold to them or if it still belonged to Citi. Genesee Martinez was our contact. It took several phone messages to Genesee to get her to call back and when she did call us, she claimed she never got any of my messages, just one message that my wife left for her. She also claimed the loan servicing had NOT been assigned to Hunt & Henriques and still belonged to Citi.
We were told at that time, by Genesee Martinez, it would take up to 30 days for the reversal. The next time we got hold of Genesee around the 30 day mark, which wasnt easy, it takes four to five messages to get her to call back and sometimes she does not call back at all, we were told that it would take 30 60 days for the reversal. And later on with more difficulty and almost zero communication, we were told it would be 60 90 days for the reversal.
On 12/17, I had a conversation with Kevin Good from Citi. He told me that the servicing of our loan had in fact been assigned to Hunt & Henriques and that they do not reassign loan servicing back to Citi from Hunt & Henriques. Genesee Martinez from Hunt & Henriques lied about that and kept stringing us along with more lies.
Today is 12/27 and I still have heard nothing from Hunt & Henriques regarding our loan status. They also have not supplied a statement since we starting making payments to them in July.
