BEWARE of Steve Paige (CCF) A.K. A Consumer Credit Services, LLC

"Paige Files for BankruptcyIn September after the failure of one of his credit-repair business endeavors, Paige filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Id. At 891." (http://cases. Justia.com/federal/appellate-courts/ca10/10-4190/10-4190-07-16. Pdf? Ts=1411093339)

I called Steve Paige after a friend referred me to him. My credit is in "fair" condition but I want to buy a house and so I wanted some help in getting it to a level where I could get qualified for some decent rates.

Initially, I had left Steve a message stating who referred me and that I wanted to get some information about his servcies and to please call me back. Steve and I got in touch the following day and he told me that he was very busy so he was going to shoot me over a text with the information he needed to get me started then he would call me back.

So I emailed him all the info he requested. At this point, I have not been able to inquire anything about him or his business - I was going off good faith from my friend who recommended him.
Steve called me back and told me he would strengthen my credit score and asked me for my credit card information. He told me that it would be about a $295 fee and $50 per month thereafter for him to repair my credit. I expliained to him that I was currently unemployed and taking a job at the end of next month and was looking for information on his services. Steve got very upset and started to tell me how much time he wasted on me and that I should have told him in the begining of the conversation that I was unemployed. As I started to apologize for "wasting his time" I was on the path to saying that I think it would be more advantageous if I call back after I get rolling wth my new job. He cut me off before I could finish and repeated, "NO NO NO, we need to get this figured out now! Just give me your credit card and tell me when you can pay it." He said this mutlitple times throughout the conversation. I tried to say something but he interrupted me again. At this point, I wasn't able to ask him how or what his process is for credit repair - I finally had to say, "Can I talk now?" He said, "No." Then continued on his agenda with getting my credit card!

After he was done, he says: "Now tell me how I can help you." I poiitely said, "well, I was going to but you told me I couldn't talk." I started to tell him that I was very taken aback by this conversation and his tone with me. After I told him that the chemistry of this converstation is not what I had anticipated - he then interrupted me (once again) and said I was being "passive aggressive."

At this point, I thanked him for his time and was about to hang up - but he interrrupted me before I could finish and started to back peddle and tell me all the things he would do for free for me.

Again, I thanked him and litterally had to hang up on him.

I was fuming when I got off the phone. I then started to google him and found out that he has multiple complaints against him. I actually texted him screen shots of those. Here was part of his response via text:

"I'm not sure what your doing... Good thing your no judged by your credit history..."

Okay so now we have a "credit repair expert" who just made a snide remark about my credit history - very professional.

Oh but here's what's so ironic! After googling Mr. Paige in more depth, I find this:

"2. Paige Files for BankruptcyIn September after the failure of one of his credit-repair business endeavors, Paige filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Id. At 891."

A credit repair company that he owned goes bankrupt. Now that's what I call ironic. Steve Paige mocking my credit history - that's what I call hypocritcal. Last time I checked Mr. Paige - I never filed bankruptcy.

Luckily Steve's lack of phone etiquette sparked enough of a red flag where I made the choice not to give him my credit card information. I am hoping this story will save others from making a potentially devastating decision.
