In May the state court in Florida rued in favor of Young and Rubicam against ED ARENAS
Arenas is reponsible for paying back $156,000 dollars to Young and Rubicam for a Bacardi Ad that was shot through his office. Arenas claims that he never took the money and that his co worker Ricardo Padula was repsonible for taking all te meny. Ironically however the bank accounts and the signatures and all the funds were cashed by Arenas himself. Arenas scheme was that he was trying to "produce" a film here in Florida and used the proceeds of talenst monies. Un beknownst to the talent ofr the agencies whenever there talent received an updated renewal oftheir contract for their commercial rather than contacting the agent and notifyingg talent, Arenas decided to keep the funds, and his ploy was that if some called in for themoney thenhe would pay them off but if he didnt hear from anyone then he would say anything, and just pocket the funds.
