Same happens to me yesterday night. I received a phone call that I had won a trip to Florida, Caribbean and Mexico. But that I had to pay some fees that are external to the trip itself.
When you receive this kind of phone call late evening, after a bad day, you are in the perfect condition to be shocked enough and give your credit card number.in fact they speak about having that money but they just tell you at the last minute that they will make it the same month, although your prize can be claimed for one year.
This morning I made opposition to my credit card but it was too late when I checked with my card company. The amount of nearly 1,000 US$ was already taken out. I opened a file with the bank card company for refunding and they told me they will proceed.
Of course it is easy to them with foreign customers that do not understand properly their language. What does mean "win" for them? They go so quick that you hardly have time to brreath. And think. And what about the travel agency that gives its name to this company to mishandle as such?
I'm expecting a positive answer from them shortly. If not I will go the end, until I get refund.
