If you are ever asked to pay dues or a fee in order to act in a production it is always a scam and a ripoff and a fraud; there are no exceptions;
acting is work; you are supposed to paid to act; on occassion because of the contingencies in professional show business; actors will act for free; but never never never never pay dues or fees to act; it is always a scam and a rip off; there are no exceptions ever; these people will do or say anything to get your money; if you are ever approached by robroy mountjoy, go to aea, go to sag; show them this add; tell them you have been asked for money. Go to your professors, go to your mentors, go to your lawyers; no legitimate professional or union or expert will ever tell you an operation like this is on the up and up; never ever
Look below; the illegitimate casting add that asks you the actor for dues in order to act (you are all ready making a very substantial contributuion to any production by acting for nothing; to pay to act is obscene)

Mr mountjoy talks about " off broadway venues "; mr mountjoy has never directed an off broadway in his life, not once, not ever; off broadway status is conferred by an aea contract or conferred informally
(not everyone accepts this definition) by the repeated coverage of instantly name recognizable major publications, e publications, television networks etc; (this does not include little tiny shows or publications people in general have never heard of or you cant readily buy at a well stocked newstand); mr mountjoy cannot produce an aea (actors equity) off broadway contract because he has never signed one.
The supposed " professional production " listed in the illegitimate casting add below rehearses once a week; there are no real stage productions, professional or amateur that rehearse once a week, and then go up " off broadway " after 9 - 12 3 - 4 hour rehearsals;
that is because regarding the whole proposed production described below; the primary purpose of the enterprise is to get your money, not to put on a show; if it were to put on a show, mr mountjoy would have a rehearsal process and schedule, in common with all shows, professional or amateur in general; which is a minimum of 3 - 4 rehearsal per week. There are no exceptions. This would be followed by a real performance schedule; to date the vast majority or all of mr mountjoys shows have played two performances in a single evening and then closed; because they are not real production ventures in common with shows in general.
Be warned; mr mountjoy often poses as an authority or an " expert " or " a teacher " ; or claims to operate " a school "; mr mountjoy has no expert or educational credentials or academic degrees of any kind. He has no substantial professional theatrical training of any kind
(eg a couple of someones private acting classes regardless of quality is not suitable substantial training for a director, which by common consenus, takes about 7 - 10 years of training and another 10 or more years to polish the directors expertise.

mr mountjoy is currently a first semester entering freshman at the age of 40 at queens college; taking remedial classes.
There is no reality to any of this; if you want proof; go to mr mountjoys website and you will see some of the very worst written directed and acted amateur film footage you have ever seen; nothing that resembles movies in general that you see in the theaters or on tv, not even in the grossest sense. Mr mountjoys films are extremely amateurish; poorly written, directed, acted;
aside from working on his own amateur quality projects, which he always writes and directs himself, mr mountjoy has no professional writing or directing experience whatsoever (mr mountjoy literally reads and writes on a sixth to eighth level; go check out his work on his website or ask him for one of his " scripts " and you will see for yourself)
The supposed duck walls film " starring " steve guttenberg is not a film at all; but rather the result of a couple of days shooting on an aborted amateur film project; hastily stitched together with no continuity whatsoever; look at the film yourself; there are no discernable dialogue, characters, plot; the script was so bad, they had to throw the majority of it out and improvise; listen to the dialogue; this is badly improvised dialogue; and yes it seems there are old movie stars who for ten thousand dollars paid to them " under the table " without the proper knowledge of and procedure mandated by sag will appear in material of extremely poor and or questionable quality; also mr guttenberg does not " star " in any sense of the word in mr mountjoys " duckwalls " but rather was a day player who shot footage only for a single day;

eg; court procedures are a matter of public record and are accompanied by official documents; mr mountjoy makes reference in his ramblings in answer to other complaints about " arbitrations " and " the U.S. Family court system "; he cannot produce a single document substantiating these representations because no such document exists; because all of the events claimed by mr mountjoy never happened.
