DJ Craig Stapel of The Wax Museum DJ Service
We did not have a very good experience with this DJ for our wedding ceremony. I will state the reasons why and anybody reading this can make their own opinions.
1. His contract stated 10 hours of music. He left our ceremony at 12:00 am sharp without letting the groom (me) or best man know he was leaving. We found out from the bar manager that our DJ was leaving. When the best man finally caught up with him leaving the venue Craig Stapel stated he had fulfilled his 10hr contract so he was free to go. We were confused until the bar manager told us he came in and setup before 2 pm that day, a full 2 hours before anybody showed up for the 6pm wedding. So, he technically did fulfill his 10hr commitment, but in an underhanded way. If he would have told us he was leaving at 12:00am I would not have been so upset
2. Few music selections. Balked at the suggested songs I sent him, he said he did not have them and could not acquire them.
3. Hand written music selection books.
4. Played wrong music at wrong times. After everybody would get on dance floor to a decent dance song he would slow it down and everybody would leave back to the bar.
5. Music too quiet until we told him multiple times to turn it up.
6. Only plays from CDs, does not have any digital music on mp3s. This prevents him from playing anything recent; he has to acquire the CD in order to play the music.
7. He brought 3 other people with him. Do you need 4 extra people at your wedding? I didnt even know these people were with him until half way through the wedding.
