Music purchase and subscription scam

I used BMGmusic for years and bout more than 50 CDs from them and then recently went back and found it was yourmusic.com. I updated my credit card and maybe put something in the shopping cart. I never got a CD and then started seeing a $6.99 charge each month.

The url was not clear and the phone number was listed. I called the credit card company and they also did not have a valid phone number, which you think would be enough to get them banned from that bank's processing engine.

I asked for the charges to be reversed and they said I had a subscription and had failed to add anything to my queue and was being charged a subscription fee. They said I could now pick some CDs and they would send. But I do not like being scammed.

I sent them this email:

I did not authorize this subscription. Please remove the subscription and the charges. I am disputing them at the credit card company. Your phone number is not on file with the credit card company and your contact information on my statement is incomplete at best. Remove the charges or I will file claims with the BBB and I will post at Yelp, Facebook, Twitter, and I will notify local newspapers and TV reporters about this program. I will set up a web site and am skilled at getting top rankings at Google and Yahoo to let others know about the problem.

And I received this reply:

Thank you for contacting yourmusic.com. We are responding to you regarding a subscription account in yourmusic.com that was recently established in your name. It has come to our attention that this account may have been established without your authorization or in error. We have now cancelled this subscription and credited your credit/debit card or your PayPal account in the amount of $20.97. You have no balance or obligation. Please feel free to keep any products we may have shipped to you and disregard any additional correspondence or billing that you have received or may receive regarding this account. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions please contact our Customer Service Department at [email protected].

Ok,

They just lost a 10-year customer who has spent more than $500. Bad business decision.
