Bruce Edwin Ripped me off $6,000

Bruce Edwin is SCUM. 2 1/2 years ago he had his "client" Moira scout me at the "America's Next Top Model" Tryouts, because I lived out of town he contacted me over the phone and asked me to email him pics, I did. He said he liked my look and asked if I was serious and if I was willing to move to LA if need be. I said yes. We set up an appointment and I came to LA.

At the appt. He video recorded everything and then asked me to come back in a few hours. When I came back he offered me a contract. I signed stupidly. He asked how long I would be in town and set up a shoot for $600 with a photographer named Michael Mordler. I didn't know until later but the pics turned out soooo bad and trashy looking. Gross.

Then 3 weeks later I moved to LA, freshly 18 years old, all alone, and had no family or friends here. He only ever sent me out to crappy hair shows and stuff you find on craigslist.

Then he said I needed acting class and said it was $6,000. I convinced my mom to send a check. Then I started to meet people and they looked at my contract and freaked out, it was for 5 years! And I had no right to sue and he basically owned me! Then I told them about the 6k and they said I needed a lawyer to get that back and get out of the contract. So I made a friend who was a lawyer and we went down to Bruce's office and basically harassed him until he agreed to give it to my mom because I was no longer "welcome".

I got my money back but It was very hard and I still lost the $600 I spent on the awful pictures.

Then about 2 months ago I saw Moira and Bruce at an event My publicist was throwing, He was starring at me for over an hour until he saw that I was sitting with Directors and Producers, then he cam over and acted like he didn't know me introducing himself to everyone. I told him this was my event he wasn't welcome and to please get out of my sight. The next week he proceeded to call my agent and tell them lies about me.

Stay away from him or it will haunt you forever!!!

The best thing about the whole thing is that now I'm in LA doing amazing and who knows if I ever would have pushed myself to actually move here. And I got most of my money back and learned a lot very quickly.

HE is NOT licensed in the state of CA as an agent or talent manager. Do not let the photoshopped copy on his website fool you. I called the state of CA.

If you are in contract with him. You should look at the contract - the state of CA told me if it has no 10 day cancellation clause you may cancel at any time. If you paid him any money he must refund you within 48 hours of your request, if he does not, you are entitled to double the amount you are owed. Stay Firm, get dirty, you will win, he can't do this forever!
