I haven't played my XBox 360 (about a year old) in about a month or two an I go to turn it on today September, 2 to play a game while I'm waiting for my cloths to wash. The xbox live was telling me to update an so I did. 2mins later after the update loaded an rebooted my xbox freezes. So I restarted it an again it freezes. I repeated this several times with 3 red lights flashing at times an it still freezes. So I called XBOX an the automated phone machine for xbox tells me if I have 3 red lights or my xbox freezes I can go online to xbox.com an request a repair. I took a look at the cost an they start you off at $100 for a repair... Something just doesn't seem right... An my xbox360 still won't work!
