My son is in pageants. He does mostly live, but occasionally online photo contests, etc. He is both a national and state title holder for numerous systems. I entered him in a certain online photo contest because I am part of an online pageant community, and so is the person who runs this system, so I thought she was legit.
I saw the postings advertsing, and also received e-mails advertising this particular contest - Bluebonnet Photo Contest. It was online, open to boys and girls, bluebonnet or Texas theme, so I entered my son.
When the contest was finished, there was another posting on the community website, which I will not mention because I do not want that site judged in any way. This posting listed the winners - and the king was... My son. I was very happy! It said prizes were to be mailed out at the beginning of the next month.
Now, I still have not received any prizes and the pageant director has not, after numerous direct e-mails and also posts to the community site, returned my e-mails or attempted to contact me in any way. The prizes were supposed to be mailed May 1.
DO NOT patronize her business in any way, you will not get what you sign up for! What a terrible way to take advantage of children!
