This man Omari Moon is FULL OF IT! This man is DEFINITELY running a scam! How do I know? Because I fell victim to his company last August when I received an email ad stating that there would be a high profile shoot happening in Los Angeles, CA at a super discounted rate of $850 (if paid in advance... Not to mention the price of almost $1000 for late payers), in which there would be a make-up artist, hair stylist, wardrobe artist, etc. On the set at the shoot, and that there would be a high profile photographer doing the shoot, in which all we needed to do was bring ourself; everything else was already supposed to be set. The package was supposed to include 4 looks, in which ALL of the looks would be retouched, and I would also receive the blueprints the next day after the shoot, or at least hear from him to touch bases to see how the shoot went. Well... THE GOOD ABOUT THE SHOOT: So I went ahead and paid early for the $850, in which Omari was really good with keeping in contact with me before the shoot, and made me feel comfortable enough to be excited about it, etc. Now there WAS in fact a shoot that took place at a top rated studio in LA, I wont lie about that, and that was probably the only thing that I was at first a little skeptical about since I was traveling from elsewhere to be able to attend. THE BAD: Omari waited until the DAY BEFORE the shoot was to take place to inform me, along with the other models that were attending that event with me, to go over some manual about how to pose, etc., and how to be comfortable in front of the camera, since we were to be shooting with professionals who dont usually deal with amateurs... He told us to make sure to get as much from the manual as possible before the shoot took place so not to embarrass his company... The problem was that this document was over 200 pages long! Why he waited 24hrs BEFORE the shoot to send it, I dont know. This was the 1st sign of bad business... Aside from this manual, he also informed us that for our High Fashion shoot, that the wardrobe artist would NOT be supplying our outfit and that we would need to bring whatever it was that we preferred to shoot in for that look... This was horrible because by the time the next day at the shoot in the studio came, there were probably 8 out of the 10 girls that attended that DIDNT have anything to shoot in b/c everyone flew in frm around the country and didnt get the email in time to be able to shop around... Luckily for me I avidly check emails. The next thing that took us by surprise was that the photographer told us that we would only have ONE look be retouched, when Omari said that ALL FOUR of our looks would be retouched! This is a HUGE difference for anyone who knows anything about modeling, because at this point ALL the models were pissed! The photographer was nice enough to offer us discounted rates to retouch the other looks... Aside from this, the photographer of this particular studio, who is SERIOUSLY a world renowned photographer (no names mentioned) informed us at the shoot that Omari was HORRIBLE with informing him of what to expect, and that he was informed the DAY BEFORE the shoot that there would be 10 models attending his studio that next day, which was a horrible amount of time to inform that SO MANY would be attending, but we all had paid for this shoot more than a MONTH before it took place! Long story short, after he was sooo good with keeping in touch with me BEFORE the shoot happened and that he was supposed to contact us right after, NONE of us could get a hold of him; not even the photographer! 45 days had passed and still I had no proof I had ever even attended this shoot! I had to contact the photographer personally, along with all the other models to get our prints! Another thing the ad promised was not only the work that was to be included, but also a website with comp-cards, etc. That would run for about 90 days. When I emailed about these, some "female" responded about 1 month later stating that I would have to pay for this service, and that it wasnt included, when CLEARLY the ad stated this was inclusive as well, and for the price of course we expected it! This "female" I know was Omari himself because she only emailed, and when you called the ext. He would answer... He was actually the ONLY one who EVER answered! He also said that we would be shooting a short video while at this shoot by some videographer from his company, and that was supposed to be included on our website as well... The funny thing is that the girl who was the video person told us that she had NEVER met Omari, and that she was hired to do the job through email???!! The stuff he promised on the ad was only HALF DONE! I never heard from him after this shoot, and he had the audacity to tell us to pay for the website, etc. When these things were supposed to be included! He even had the nerve to tell us to pay for the postage for him to send us our pics!!! Wtf? I DEFINITELY wouldnt do business with this man, and YES he is under a different comany now, so definitely BEWARE OF OMARI MOON! There was a hoarde of other things that were promised that weren't rec'd, but this is already enough to make you think twice before doing business...
