This company (with the assistance of Fandango) through the use of a single pop up window, took the information my daughter had entered in the Fandango site (I can only assume that Fandango is also complicit in these charges...) and then proceeded to charge her credit card without her permission. She never recieved and email or written notification of these charges, nor did they have her email address, or address. Through the assistance of Fandango, they were able to fraudulently aquire her bank card number and began charging her for services she never asked for, more importantly, they never gave her any service (no discount card, no nothing...)
I called the Great Fun office and was given the corporate telephone number 203-956-1000. The phone was answered by a man calling himself Oman and then he proceeded to transfer me to another company. This small internet company does not know who Great Fun is, but they are getting the telephone calls. It appears that in addition to fraudulently using bank cards, they are also in the process of fraudulently using the telephone system as well.
When I spoke with Adrian (id number 33202), she said that she did not know of anyone that worked in the corporate office, or she was unwilling to provide me with a point of contact. Rather, she gave me the above mentioned number and told me that I could contact them. Since I had done this to begin with, I explained that Oman had transferred me to another company. She said that she did not know Oman, but was still unwilling to provide me with a point of contact.
I strongly urge anyone that has had contact with this company to contact their state attorney general and file a formal complaint. I will be doing so in the states of Alabama, Ohio and in Conneticut. If we all do this, then we can shut this company down.
I would also strongly encourage filing another complaint about Fandango. They readily accept the fact that they recieve many, many complaints about Great Fun, but are unwilling to drop their use of them.in my humble opinion, I believe that they are just as responsible in the fraud, as it is through their web site that Great Fun recieves the credit card or bank card information. I tried to contact Fandango, and the only thing that they said was that a person that was frauded, would have to contact Great Fun and get their money back. Evidently, it is a frequent complaint, yet Fandango continues to use the the company. When I asked for a point of contact within Fandango, I was giving the general mailbox number (310) 954-0278. Their support number is 1-800-FANDANGO. They can provide you with the Great Fun number where they will refund the money. They are aware of the issues with Great Fun, but are unwilling to remove them as a vendor.
