I ordered a DVD collection of Sabrina The Teenage Witch for a Christmas gift from this company online. I received the confirmation that stated "Please expect to receive your merchandise within 12-14 days of ordering".
This report is being made on 11/28/07 and my order was placed on 10/21/07. Would I be filing this report had I received the merchandise? No. Do those dates seem like it HASN'T been 12-14 days? No.
It was also stated "Please note you will be receiving another email within the next 48 hours confirming the processing of your order". I waited a week with NO email, so I called their toll-free number. They state that they are open Monday-Friday 10 am to 2 am and 10 am to 6 pm Saturday's, Eastern Standard Time. When you call they ask to hold while they transfer you o Customer Service, to have your order number, which I do, then a recording comes on stating that you can leave a voicemail.
So I did, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, one in the evening and one Very late at night. Guess what? They don't Ever answer their calls or return them. But I did receive an email stating that they FOUND my order and would be processing it.
I waited another day or so and tried again. Same thing, nobody there. So I informed them that I wanted to cancel my order. THAT DAY they took the money from my card. Still no email mentioning my order.
Called my bank, they told me the company would have to refund. I called and left a message and sent them an email (several in fact) telling them that I would like my merchandise IMMEDIATELY or my money refunded. Nothing.
So I sent one last email informing them that I would be doing what I am doing now, filing a report, and telling anyone who would listen all about their great company and service.
I even tried to explain to them that it's Christmas time and that they are ripping off innocent people who are possibly on limited budgets. Still nothing. So I hope this helps someone. Even if it's just one person from getting ripped off from this company. I'm out $100.58. I hope I can prevent that from happening to someone else.
