Hotels Corp., Branson ripoff: paid for tickets, place was closed, will not refund our money! Ocean Reef Florida

We were looking for discounted tickets for Branson, MO. Found this website with great deals, only to find out we had to view Westgate Resorts. We purchased the tickets on-line. I had asked if there were any certain days or times that we had to use our tickets, they told us anytime.

We spent our 1st full day in a meeting at Westgate-Branson Woods for 4 hours. We asked about our tickets and they said to pick them up the next day. We went back the next day and spent another hour declining. We signed for our tickets and went on our way.

The next day, we took our children to Celebration City, only to find out that it was closed, and would not be open untill Friday (the day we were scheduled to leave). We got back to the resort and called Hotelscorp. #, told them what had happened. They apologized for the inconveniece, said they would leave a note with their supervisor, and credit our account the $98 since Celebration City was not open. End of conversation. Period. I threw away the paper tickets (since they were not any good, but kept the original forms from Hotelscorp.)

Two weeks later, I noticed that our credit had not shown up on our account. I called Hotelscorp to find out why it was not credited. They said we had to hand in the vouchers (paper tickets) to get our money back. I had told them that they were thrown away because they weren't any good, and that I was never told that I had to hand them in to get my money back. I spent 2 hours contacting Hotelscorp. And Westgate. They refused.

This really burns my hide! I had specifically asked about dates for Celebration City, was told ANYTIME. The place was closed. I was told that I would get a refund for the $98, NOTHING was said about keeping the vouchers (I had purchased these 5 days before we picked them up) to get my refund.By the way, the tickets were to expire on 8/28, we didn't get them until 8/22, went on 8/23, leaving to come home on 8/25. They could go back, listen to the conversation I had had with the rep. I was talking to (since these are recorded), but no.

They asked why I threw these away. Well, if anyone had tickets to a place that was shut down, your tickets weren't any good, your on vacation, why would you keep them? 3 kids and their stuff is enough to keep track of without keeping "unuseable" items around.

Both Hotelscorp. And Westgate refused to give me our credit on tickets that we purchased and could not use, spent 5 hours with Westgate (not 90 min.) It was Hotelscorp. Screw-up for selling us tickets that were unable to be used and for not telling us that we needed to hand those tickets back in—after we were told they were already going to credit our account.
