My fellow Independent Musicians and aspiring singers, please do not send RCI ANYTHING of yours! Spread the word on Myspace and all other sites about this ripoff of talent and copyright infringement.
The first thing that they do, is hype you up that they can get you all this airplay. Legally, but all it is, is another payola scam! They ask you to send them your material before its released so that they can evaluate it and they claim they only take the best music out there, but the truth is, they will issue a contract to any band that they can steal from.
The next thing they do is steal your music and sell your words to a major artist who will then retitle it and schedule it for release should you refuse to send them thousands of dollars, But you won't know this until a few weeks later when you hear it on your radio dial.
Ultimately, Ray Roberts, the front man will launch an all out assault on you by calling all of his friends at the radio stations and he will tell them not to play your music and attempt to shut you down. Folks, this company is criminal and if you read this please spread the word and ask your congressman what they are doing about these middlemen who guard the radio stations playlists and are launching an all out assault on independent bands.
Finally, please don't send them any money! I have two friends one who sent them $12,000 and the other who sent them $5000 and they have recieved no airplay to this very day, in fact, one was told that her stuff needed to be "remastered" before they could even consider releasing her stuff, when she refused to send in her "dats", thats when her stuff was pirated and stolen. The other was told that his stuff was deemed non commercial by the radio programmers; all after he was promised the moon, and when he asked for his money back, Ray Roberts laughed at him and told him that he must be kidding. He was told that he paid for a "testing" of the product, not the actual manufacture and release and the horror stories just keep coming.
As for what happened to me, at the end of the day, I found out that they were only going to release one song and not the 4 songs that I was promised. So I threatened to sue them. Fast forward 2 weeks later. The words from my music can be heard all over by this major rock artist.
