I am a former employee... These people are coo-coo for cocoa puffs and take advantage of the employees as well as talent. First things first. Alycia Kaback and "Mike James" are scam "partners" in crime (patrners in more than one way). This causes an unprofessional work environment from jump. It effects not only the hiring of incompetent workers, but the firing of people who have really good work ethic. Even though I was not one of their casualties (I quit), however I witnessed a handful of decent workers and genuine people sacrificed because of Alycia's weakness and Mike's lack of ability to stand up to her.
Alycia is a very weak woman and puts up a poker face when in front of most people. Her process for making money would compromise most people's morality. She advertises for "talent scouts" on craigslist only to get a week of free work out of innocent people looking to support themselves and their families. Two new group are trained every week (one in Philadelphia and one in Feasterville) because nobody stays at this job.
This "talent agency" works on a numbers system. If they hire 20 people and each person scouts 30 people a week, half show up to an open call, and half of those people decide to sign, at minimum the company has made 20,000 in one week. Oh but we have to do some subtracting. Minus the almost minimum wage salary she pays MOST of the employees (which there aren't many of), she has a flunky who is a drug addict who actually got caught by a signed talent taking cash out of his file not more than 5 minutes after making a payment. This person has gotten caught stealing on several occasions and Alycia will tell people but not confront this person. She just throws them a pity party and cries on the phone with them every 5 minutes.
Please please please people dont throw away your hard earned money. Very few people that are signed with them get work and they give it to family and boyfriends/girlfriends first. They will stalk you for money. Even if you cancel with them, they will charge your credit card until you call and complain. I hope i have saved people from wasting valuable time and money. Please research research research and find a respectable and ligit agency to sign with and/or work for.
