I was skeptical about calling Empire Today, but since you can't escape their commercials, I did. I assumed any company that would send someone out to your house would end up being a lot more expensive than the "discount" outlets or carpet through a Costco affiliated contractor. Boy was I surprised.
Kathleen Wilcox was the Empire representative that came to my house. She was incredibly nice, and educated us on the different kinds of carpets that Empire had to offer. She asked excellent questions, and learned that we may be moving down the road and renting the house out. Based on that information, she suggested that we not buy the most expensive carpet, since renters would inevitably not take care of it. I was shocked that she steared us away from the most expensive carpet, but greatly appreciated her honesty and rational guidance.
We ended up getting a very nice premium carpet that was on sale - costing us less than a lower grade carpet. The installers were incredibly efficient and respectful of our home and everythign went exceptionally well.
I would recommend Empire Today, and Kathleen Wilcox to anyone looking to buy carpet. It was a great experience and we are very happy with the carpet.
