My husband and I were shopping in Lowes in Charlottesville, VA today, 1/10. We had put some items into our buggy and continued to shop. We saw some shelving that we were interested in - a big tag on the shelf, that was put together, said it would support up to 1,000# per shelf and the price was $66.97. This shelf met our needs and we stopped an employee and told him that we wanted two (2) of these. His comment was that the big signs on the shelf should not be there, they should be on another one. That was a mistake. He and another employee walked away and we never did have anyone to help us. We ended up buying two shelves, weight up to 800# at the same price. We purchased a total of $156.01 from this Lowes today. Evidently they don't care for their customers, nor do they want to help. Another employee went out of his way to answer questions about another purchase we are considering. This was our first shopping at this Lowes since moving from out of state and you can rest assured that it may well be the last.in my opinion this was false advertising and they should have sold the shelves at the advertised price.
