I recently ordered a $1600 custom closet from Easy Closets for a master bedroom in a highrise in Chicago. Due to a pending sale and move, I relied on Easy Closet's promise to get the product to me quickly. Not only did they send the boxes to the wrong address, but they wanted me to go to the wrong address and pick up the boxes myself. Keep in mind that I am a petite female who lives in the city and does not have a car and the fact that these boxes were 87" in length and weighed 50-60 lbs each. After days of calling their customer service rep upwards of 3x a day and requesting that they ship new parts, they finally did, but not after informing me how expensive it was going to be for them. Like shipping the parts to the wrong address was my fault? A week and a half after I was supposed to receive my shipment, it finally arrived. I spent the last night in my condo frantically building this closet that I should have had a week and a half to complete. Easy Closets then sent me an email indicating that they would give a $150 credit for my troubles, which would be processed the next day. A week and a half later the credit had not posted. When I called they informed me that they never processed the credit. I left messages for the manager to call me back to discuss the poor service I received from her company and she did not call me back. I understand that shipments get messed up sometimes, but Easy Closets did not handle the situation appropriately and failed to deliver on several promises. I will not do business with this company again.
