Home Depot-Lack of Customer Service
Don't lose your original receipt for warranty - Rigid RD80706

I purchased a Rigid Pressure Washer last June, from Home Depot in Sterling VA.
I used it 5 times over the summer/fall ran the gas tank dry and shut off the fuel line etc.
The Washer sat over the winter covered and protected. The first week in April, I wanted to use the washer to clean my decks and side of the house. The washer will not start. I replaced the plug, added fresh gas, checked the oil in both the engine and pump. All were good. There was fuel in the cup under the carb, so the issue is probably the carb. Bottom line, the washer needs to go to an Authorized Subaru service center. Over the summer I cleaned out my office and lost my receipt. The Washer has a 3 year warranty so I figured I would go to Home Depot and have them print a new receipt. I checked my checking account and found the date and amount of the transaction, over $900.00. This was not a cheap Pressure Washer. I went to the Home Depot where I bought the Pressure Washer, gave customer service the card for the account and was told "no transactions appear for this card". My card was lost on a travel trip so I needed to get it replaced. I was appalled that they could not search by my name, phone number or anything else. They can only search by a card number or check number???
Why can't they track their customers transactions?

Needless to say, if I need a large item purchase I will go to Lowes.
HD needs to take a page out of Lowes book with their "my lowes" card. Every transaction I have made I can see and pull a receipt if necessary.
Lowes is also, at least in the past, been able to track my transactions by my phone number.
I just can't believe that Home Depot in Sterling VA can't.
I am now at the mercy of the Subaru engine repair shop as I can't Prove the Date and location I purchased the power washer.
A former Happy Home Depot customer.
