The Florida Department of Children & Families (C&F) is corrupt, lazy, disorganized, compacent, and an oversized bureaucracy with no empathy or cinsuderation for the people it is suppose to serve. It's impossible to talk to a live person. You get a recording with details of why you're calling and it NEVER returns your call. Ii employ'ss incompetent people who have no idea of what they are doing or how to do it. It is corrupt from the top on down. The people who work there cater to people of their own race, most are black Americans or Latinos who perfer dealing with people of their own race. It is impossible to use its Website to complete an application for the services it provides like food stamps, Medicaid, or needed cash assisstance. The case workers take 3 to 4 weeks for vacations, if not more, leaving you application for immediate assisstance in the hands of someone else who is not familar with yor case and needs. The C&S's computer system is always down, in which case nothing can be done on your case.
