Im not a client of Best Care. I am however involved in recovery in Bend Oregon and have been in treatment centers before. Although I cannot comment directly on the services Best Care offers, I can however comment on the personal behavior of... Some of the staff who i have unfortunately come to know outside of the BestCare offices.
This is where I feel its most important they conduct themselves appropriately as to set an example, and not be damaging to themselves or other they share the blessing of recovery with... As with any realm of life recovery becomes a social existence much like the work place, but unlike the new job, recovery becomes a way of life and especially in the beginning stages you must surround yourself with positive people, as we in beginning are especially impressionable and
fragile.
If you are looking for a place for you or a loved one to do your treatment for dependency it is important for me to tell you about a couple of the people who will be involved in your recovery process should you choose Best Care.
I have an old misdemeanor charge from my using days that dates back about a decade and one of the staff of Best Care caught wind of it, She proceeded to embellish it into a damaging outright lie, and spread it around to co-workers, patients, people in the small recovery community of Bend Oregon and clients of BestCare. If what she said about me were a supported fact I would not be writing this cautioning review, but through a legal background check
my story was "confirmed" (thats how management put it to me when I called to complain) and ive yet to recieve so much as an apology from Jana Stone or Amanda Fraga, payroll employees of this company.
It was further justified to me that "this is what they heard so they were repeating rumor" Forgive me for assuming, but if i was searching for a place to save my or a loved ones life, id consider the possibility of the chaos created by
rumor mills and slander anyone reading this has undoubtedly faced at one point or another in their life.
I am a firm believer in there being three sides to every story... Mine, Yours, and the truth... But when it comes down to a complete provable lie being spoken about another person i find there to be very little gray area.
The bottom line is that I have been in and out of recovery rooms for many years, and The number one reason i have seen for people to reject recovery and go back to the crutch of drugs/alcohol is drama such as this, so when I found out it was being slung by employees of a treatment center I was extremely disappointed and had to write this review in
case you or your loved one had an issue in their life that you would not want spread like wild fire, and possibly turned into something that its not by a couple of unprofessional people who may be involved in your process.
I am sure BestCare could put together a "logical explanation" but the damage is done and going to be hard to undo. And
again we are now about 2 weeks from legally having provided proof by THEIR OWN legal people and still no apology or attempt to correct the matter. I had to place several calls to the management to follow up as i never received one call back from them detailing any progress in fixing this issue.
If you do choose BestCare I would suggest requesting to not have Jana Stone or Amanda Fraga being on your treatment team, especially if, through the honesty necessary to succeed in recovery, youll have to discuss any issues you dont want leaked to the world and possibly lied about. Thank you
