Entertainment shopping swoopo scam, swoopo gambling website, gambling website without gaming licence

Beware of SCAM website! (Swoopo.com) Don't get ripped off like I did Swoopo.com claims to be a auction website this is 100% false. It is a gambling website or scam website. I'm sure you get the idea of what I know it as a SCAM. As with other auction websites you find an auction and start bidding at the end of the auction. If you are the winner you pay for the merchandise then the auction site bills you for the auction fees. Which typically is a small percentage of your auction with the Swoopo (scam site). You actually have to pay before you even bid! They make you purchase a so called bid pack which start at $24.00 on up. What do you get for your $24.00 - 40 bids now you can bid on a auction. 40 bids may seem alot but its nothing! If you actually want to win anything. 40 bids will only raise the auction. 90 cents but it will cost you $40 BUCKS to raise it that much. Read on and see why. The way the so called auction / scam site works is every bid you make cost you. 60 cents and when you bid your. 60 cents the auction doesn't go up by. 60 cents it only goes up. 02 cents. This part of the scam because (it takes 50 so called bids just to get the item to go up a dollar). As you can imagine this all ads up very fast when your trying to win an item. Specially when they barely give you any bids for your money. OK so your (so called) bidding on an item and theres only 10 seconds left. Well don't plan on that ending anytime soon that 10 seconds can and will be extended for countless hours. Why? Because everytime someone bids the time is extended in the (so called) auction. This will happen countless times and the auction you expected to end that night goes on for another 24 hours! Anyways say you along with alot of other people are bidding on a TV. Say, someone won the item that you were trying to win to for the last 24 hours what happens? YOU ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE LOSES THERE MONEY! Say you went through 90 bids which is not hard at all you just lost $69.00. You paid Swoopo $69.00 along with many other pissed off people some who paid even more and received NOTHING for your money! Ripped off! You may ask how did Swoopo.com make out on the auction. Not only did they steal your money but they can make potentially 10,000% over what they paid for they item depending how many people spent there money by (so called) bidding and received nothing. So I ask you how can they claim to be a auction site (THERE NOT!) Whats the difference in gambling on a slot machine and gambling on Swoopo.com NO DIFFERNECE besides being on the internet. Swoopo.com charges. 60 cents a bid - Lets say the slot machine cost. 60 cents You are gambling so the object of the game is to try to win by betting on a prize or jackpot. So, you put your. 60 cents in and pull the lever and NOTHING! You lost, you lost your. 60 cents because you were gambling you were not guaranteed anything in return. JUST LIKE SWOOPO You put your. 60 in and gamble on winning the prize and NOTHING. After purchasing almost $250 in (so called) bids and trying to win even the beginner auctions. I finally realized that I was not going to get anything for my money. If I knew this in advance I would have saved my money and gone to the local casino where my odds are much better! Swoopo.com THE SCAM WEBSITE. BEWARE THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION WEBSITE.in my opinion this is a SCAM 100%. I personally spent just under $250.00! And received nothing for my money! I will be filling disputes with my bank against them. Stick with eBay or other true auctions sites where you are guaranteed either a product or you don't pay and stay far away from Swoopo.com If you have a chance contact the BBB on-line and leave a comment or contact consumer affairs for your state and file a complaint of an active SCAM in progress or report them providing a gambling website without a gaming license SWOOPO.com gets F -

*OFFICIAL Response from SWOOPO*
Hi XXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting us. We have a 100% satisfaction refund policy for unused bids to any who ask. If the customer contacted customer service for a refund on his unused bids, he will receive a full refund. However, if he spent all $xxx of his bids, we are unable to issue a refund. Used bids alter the course of the auction and forced other bidders to bid again. We use the money gained from bids to subsidize the final auction price. This is how we can offer such large discounts to the winners.
We also offer a feature called Swoop It Now. Swoop It Now is a new feature that lets you BUY an item you've bid on, using your used bids as discount. So if users feel they want to cash out this is an option for them.
We have been running as an online auction site for more than three years and operate in 6 different countries. We are backed by August Capital and Wellington Partners, two prominent venture capital firms.
When you click on 'register' at the top of the main page to sign up, there are 4 bullet points and a statement which explain all about how our auctions work. These points are placed there so that everyone can be fully informed about our site before they sign up.
The information is supplemented by the following link: http://www.swoopo.com/new.html, which is included within the text on the registration page.
We can assure you that we are running our business openly and legitimately and never attempt to mislead anyone that comes to our site. The operation of our auctions is explained fully in our Terms and Conditions, viewable at the following address: http://www.swoopo.com/terms.html
I hope this clears things up. We are sorry to lose you as an affiliate, I hope that after the information above you will reconsider. Please advise your customer about the Terms & Conditions page and the How To Page if he/she has any further questions. He/She is also encouraged to contact customer service for any and all questions.
Sincerely
