What company allows the Program Manager to have family and friends to work under them at the same location? Child Help O.C. HMM The family and friends who work under the Program Manager (Omeka) all recieve special privileges and treatment, it is totally disgusting how much stuff that they are all allowed to get away with. The paperwork! Unimportant paperwork, constant and always more added every month, where's the quality time for the kids. The priority is not the kids anymore, since Omeka came aboard, the priority for her is to make her look as good as possible. Lets make Omeka look good Ha Ha "PRIORITYS". The kids don't get clothes unless someone outside the company says something (schools), I thought all kids were supposed to get an allowance for clothes as soon as they get placed in their new location, not at Child Help! I guess that only applies to other placement locations. The kids hardly ever go anywhere even on their breaks (Spring, Summer, Xmas) they don't go anywhere special Omekas idea of a fun trip is to take them to the local park or library. They used to go to amusement parks, raging waters and places like that before, and if they happen to go anywhere, only the kids that are owed a special treatment to or the ones that are on the highest level are allowed, some of the kids at Child Help, will probably never make it to that level, and it seems their punished for it, how sad. The money an donations for these kids is not spent or distributed properly. I've heard and seen staff having to buy food for the kids with there own money because food was so limited, and the kids are rarely allowed to have seconds. Omeka claims that staff is taking food, well before she got here the food was plentyful, and of better quality, and no one ever seemed to complain of food being taken then, the food now is low quality and limited, I don't think anyone would feed it to there own familys, at one of the houses staff was told they could not bring their own food to eat, that they had to eat what the kids were eating, well some staff are vegetarian, or eat different types of food, I heard a staff member went a full shift (14 hours) without eating because of this, HORRIBLE. I hear N/C workers are expected to be on their feet there full shift (10 hours) without any breaks, how is that legal. Corporate in Arizona has been told of all the things going on in O.C. But don't seem to care, they have done nothing about any of the many complaints they have received, they say that everyone is attacking Omeka, well if they think that maybe they should send someone out there to talk with everyone individually, and on ALL shifts, to let everyone voice there concerns privately, and with a little bit of confidentiality.
Child Help O.C. Used to be a nice place to work before the new manager came, but there is so much tension, and stress now, it makes it hard to stay sane and properly care for the kids. It's pretty sad that they don't think highly enough of the staff to believe what they are all saying about what goes on in O.C. To think that we are all attacking Omeka, (obviously for good reason), everyone obviously cares about the company and the kids to speak up, but speaking up doesn't seem to matter. Doesn't the fact that people who have been with this company for years have quit do to this situation. HELLO something is wrong with management out there. I guess the next step is to contact the O.C. Register and all the local papers, to let the public know what really goes on at Child Help. I think CCL and Sarah, and Yvonne need to know as well. Help those kids and the staff that really care. I guess we all can still hope that something gets done, for the children's sake...
