In August, 1999, I ordered a patent description from the US Patent and Trademark Organization (USPTO). I made a mistake on the first entry (missing a digit), but they provide no way to back out a mistake; I subsequently ordered the correct patent number, and they promptly debited my credit card for both entries. As of January 14, I have yet to receive anything from the USPTO, despite several emails and a fax. They got their money, but continue to ignore me.
