My partner and that I visited Tanania for volunteering through ELI (www.eliabroad.org). We'd offered to work-in an orphange. The program we enjoyed was disorganized, the neighborhood program planner was really unprofessional, and there is no identified plan. We were fallen down in the orphanage on our first evening and informed that people may do what we desired; the planner never turned up in the orphange home since. The neighborhood planner had no problem about our volunteer system. Alternatively, he was attempting to set up their own plan and attempted to get us as vendors. He informed us how poor ELI was, they required cash from volunteers and didn't assist the residents. Me, my husband along with other volunteers were amazed and incredibly dissatisfied about ELI. Additionally, upon ELI's suggestion, we employed our regional planner like a chrome manual, however it was losing money and time. We thought like ELI handled us volunteering like a company deal, as well as their relationship using the regional planner was a company connection, to not assist the residents in Tanzania. Underneath the unpleasant predicament using the planner, we quit the guesthouse sooner than we prepared and maynot complete our plan. ELI is meant to be always a non-profit business, but I truly wonder where the cash from volunteers moves? We requested ELI how they invest the cash from volunteers, but we never noticed any obvious solution from their website.
