Door To Door Magazine
Door To Door Poor Youth Salespeople DMT Or DNT Connections, Sunnyvale California Young indigent people coming to door, selling magazines, rude, SCAM! Call Police!

A young person comes to your door. The story is different each time. The person is part of a recovery group, or has fallen on hard times, or is a student or raising money for a youth group.

Would you buy some magazines? They've got some literature in hand. What they are really doing is STAKING OUT YOUR HOUSE FOR ROBBERY.

They want your BANK ACCOUNT information which is what they will get if you give them a check.

If you seriously want to contribute to a charity organization, get their literature, check it out with the Better Business Bureau AFTER you have found a legitimate web site. Make sure the business is registered in your county! But DO NOT ACCEPT DOOR TO DOOR SOLICITATIONS FROM THESE PEOPLE IN SANTA CLARA SUNNYVALE AND MOUNTAIN VIEW

The name of the company they give each time is different. There's Scott from DMT Connections, a young man of color. There's Joseph from DNT connections, a caucasian. There's Paolo from Print Connections. There's so-and-so from such and such youth group. The "youth" is always older than 18 or 19, and never accompanied by a parent or guardian. You are being Scammed.

The "name" of the company changes, but they are soliciting for money. If you listen to the sales pitch and say you want to think about it and you'd like some literature, it always happens to be "the last one left" or "it's my only copy."

If you decide the person looks suspicious and won't open the door these people are extremely rude.

There is also another group roaming around sunnyvale wanting to take pictures of your children to "protect" them. They are religiously based, and this is just the "door in" to bring you into feel all good about them so you can then later be solicited further. They will end up with the names and ID's of your kids, but a few weeks later, another group less secular will be visiting you.

But the young indigent youth selling magazines are both rude and we have searched better business bureau and can never find these businesses legitimately registered in Santa Clara county.in the meantime, our neighbors have had laundry soap stolen from their public laundry areas, and car emblems (the metal expensive ones) removed from their cars. I believe these are people just "staking out" your home to see if someone is home, and have the "magazine sale" scam as a backup to get you to give them a copy of your check (AKA bank account information).

If someone shows up at your door doing this. Immediately get their name and address. Ask to see their drivers license or ID. Request business documentation with a working phone number and web site. Ask them what county the business is registered in. If ANYTHING is suspicious, please call the Sunnyvale Police immediately and report suspicious activity.

Have the police show up with the person present and verify the legitimacy or arrest the person for fraud and scamming. They prey on the elderly in the area, probably your own mom or grandmom. Call the police if there are any suspicious solicitations.
